Frederick Ludwig and Margaret Laug
1871 HEILIGE SCHRIFT - GERMAN/ENGLISH FAMILY BIBLE - NR
LUDWIG & LAUG FAMILY - FRAKTUR FONT Item number: 140152896331
HEILIGE SCHRIFT - FAMILY BIBLE OF F & M LUDWIG
German language illustrated Martin Luther King Family Bible – old and new testaments.
Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1871 by J. R. Jones, in the Office of the Librarian of Congress at Washington.
Most of the book is in Fraktur type and in German. However, intermittently throughout there are pages and pictures captioned in English.
On page 433 there is a peacock’s feather pressed in the pages, it has left no markings but I am leaving it there. It must have meant something to the owner. Page 141 in the “Apocrypha” reveals a ribboned clipping of hair. I’m leaving that too.
Next comes the glossy color plates in English shown in the photos, a record of Holy Matrimony, “ Frederick Ludwig and Margaret Laug. A memoranda with specific details of Frederick and Margaret then the Lord’s Prayers in English
