There are several births and deaths documented. There is a marriage certificate that was left in the Bible. There is a variety of funeral cards with names like Kopp and Line. Also, there is a document from the Order of the Eastern Star for Robert Hiteshoe acknowledging his membership in a church. Also a funeral instruction document for Ella Elizabeth Kopp, born 1883, documenting her funeral wishes as to casket selection, vault, clothing style and color, music, and cost. There is a picture of an elderly couple sitting in a house reading the newspaper is in the Bible. Ths family bible contains a record of the marriage between A.F. Stokes and R.A. Hutson on Oct 20th 1869. A daughter was born July 31, 1870. This bible contains many entries of births, deaths and marriages. There is also a written account on a separate paper of family history research which appears to have been done in the 1980's and dates back to 1779.

This great old family bible contains a wealth of genealogical material on the Childress family of Scotland County, Missouri. It contains a certificate of matrimony in beautiful color, between William F. Childress of Scotland County, Missouri, and Ellen J. Justice of Scotland County, MO, on March 30th, 1856. On the Death's page, it's shown that William departed this life in 1885 (looks like, hard to read) and Ellen died in 1904, and others are listed afterward. There's a page of Family History with various births listed from 1856 to 1864 (very pale, hard to photograph), then there's a page of marriages mentioning the names Childers, Justice, Wallace, Bryan. There's a 'Births' Page with various dates listed. At the end of the bible, there's a photo album of sorts, with 14 family photographs.
Inside the back cover, there are 3 pages of newspaper clippings with death notices.
There's also a obituary for 10 year old Beulah Justice from 1896, and one for Jas. Childers, 35 year old son of Hiram Childers.
